#Day 5 #Bus Day.....

14~5~22#Day 5

Not much for today actually. As we took the night bus the other night at 1.15a.m. We reached destination at about 6sth and we checked in to the Palace Station. I can't believe I didn't get to bath for one whole day yesterday, after getting sand all over the body due to the " sand bathing" in Antelope Canyon. 

Then, we tried to ask for better wifi, still it made no different, the connection was so weak. So, after taking my bath, I went down to lobby to have better connection. 

Hehe...we stayed in hotel until 12 instead of previous plan at 10a.m.( can see that we were so addicted to the wifi) 

We had another Chinese meal for our lunch! Yeah, 10.27USD for a big bowl of sweet and sour chicken rice with broccoli! I was so contented and grateful! 

We lazed around for some times and headed to stratosphere by bus. We were quite surprised to see a lot of Chinese gathered in the buffet area. Little did we realized that Chinese took up 99% of this tour =) 

Basically, today is a " Bus Day". We were in the bus for another 2 hours before we stopped by to have our dinner. We didn't go for the buffet as it cost 14 USD per person. Well, we planned to have hearty meal in Bellagio Hotel! much more recommeded! ( heheh we save money for the best!)

Instead, we walked our way to Mexicon restaurant and ordered Yolando Tamale! Much more cheaper, we shared a plate ad it was such a big bowl. Well, less than 5 USD for each of us...and we were super full!

While waiting for the rest, we talked about traveling principle instead and we came out with this. To make traveling as fun as possible, we worked out 4 principles that need to be abided, which is crazy, random, open, spontaneous....Hehe

Another 2hours journey to Comfort Inn......

That is the good point of following tour.....haha, you never have to walk for an hour just to find your hotel!=P

Day 4 Road trip in USA! Wow....

14~5~21

I just can't sleep soundly the other night, instead of 6 oclock, I woke up at 4 and failed to sleep anymore.

We started our journey at 7a.m. and waited for the bus to the airport station to collect the car.Oh man, I can't believe she is going to drive today! Carzyyyy man....hehe, she is ao man???! Somehow, I feel like I a, going to marry her if she is a guy, only if you know her! She is such a crazy person and yet so responsible!

So, we took the bus and stood by the roadside( there are no public transport to the airport! I can't believe it! Flagstaff's public transport is just too bad!" We always face the problem of going somewhere!! So, we called a cab instead. Well, not bad! It arrived in 15 minutes as promise!

We went for budget company instead of Aloma National because we thought it was supposed to be cheaper but apparently, it is not, the sum is still 170USD including insurance and everything.Hehe, too bad I can't drive as I am underage.

We checked the condition of the car, the headlight, tyre pattern, brake and we realized the car tyre was under low pressure but the cashier gave  different reason and insisted the car was in good condition. So, Cindy drove the car but it moved so slow so we sent it to the tyre discount centre for check up but it will took up to 45 minutes and we are behind schedule.

So, we decided to do it on the way up Page instead. After we checked out, we started our 135 miles journey! Enjoying the scene! I love roadtrip! One of e best day I can ever have......

Well, GPS lead us to the wrong way though. Luckily we decided to follow the road sign.....It took us 2and a half hour to reach the destination. By the time we were there, it was just nice!1 p.m.Though we were supposed to gather at 12.30 p.m. but the trip started at 1p.m. We just made it in time! Hopped on the "bumping van". and we went to the place that we wanted to go SO MUCH to the extend that we did a lot of crazy stuffs.....even spent the whole yesterday just to find transport to get there! ( Hard life man!)

The tour guide is so experienced. He started working here since 1980 and he definitely can catch the best angle for the best photo as Antelope Canyon is one of the best place for people to practice their photography skill. I can't tell how amazing the Canyon is, but you have to experience it with your very own eyes! It formed many different shapes such as the bear climbing out of the hole from top and the light ray was shining into the Canyon, giving the sense of hope to the bear, and how the sand form the face of George Washington, the wonderful LOVE shape, the flying bird with widely extended wings, the burning fire( nah...here is the amazing thing about it, you have to use your camera to look through the beauty of it, somehow it formed different mixture of nice Colour due to the spectrum of light effect. And what form is just so wonderful!

I think I am falling in love with  Antelope Canyon. You can see how the soil form the wave pattern and nice curve on the wall due to the flow of flood yearsssss ago.

By the end of the trip, there was tribe performance, The tour guide blow something like a flute.... And after this, he rushed us back as the trip was supposed to end at 2.30 but due to load of visitors, we ended it at 4 hours. It is definitely a sad case as we didn't really get enough time to capture nice photo with it! To the very last minutes, we ran like there was fire in the Canyon, just to take a nice photo at the entrance before the other reached here!

Still, we felt so reluctant but we felt so happy that we made it in the end.

Then, we figured out the problem of tyre was not solved yet so we went to the nearest tyre station and we realized to car tyre was punctured actually! Luckily we found it out early and had the tyre changed but we were charged  without knowing whether we can get the money back or not....Nevermind, safety come first....

The road trip back was so much fun..Cindy busy driving and I on the other hand, had my own sweet moment I guess..Little did I knew that there was a window on the top of my head! I used to dream to stand up there to shout out loud and just let the strong wind hit my face! And I did it! Wow....Syokkkk =P I enjoyed the feeling! Felt so high...and after that selfie time I guess =P( That is what boring people do most of the time xDxD

Once we reached destination, we went to bus station to buy bus ticket back to Las Vegas.....It was 1.15p.m. late midnight! And we thought it was going to be 8.20p.m. We stayed in the Greyhound bus station after returning the car near downtown and well, haha, I had my third burger on the forth day! I guess I am going to get round like burger if the trend goes on.....

#Day3 #Flagstaff......I guess I just simply enjoy the feeling of travelling.....

14~5~20#Day 3# I guess I just simply enjoy the feeling of travelling

Slept for 3 hours yesterday! Just to catch a bus at 6.40a.m. this morning!

Everything goes on smoothly though, we managed to board the bus on time=)

Grabbed some tuna sandwiches as our breakfast before we boarded the bus....

It was a long journey, took about 5 and a half hours.

Once we get down of the bus, I feel like the wind was going to blow me up.It was so strong and unexpectedly cold! The sand was being blown up and hit on my face!!! *Ouchhhhh*

And the transport here was quite convenient as the route 66 is the main route. It is known as Will Rogers Highway and is the mother road of U.S., link from Chicago to California.

 We didn't take long to get to our hotel. 

Bad news come after that, I just received email from the tour guide that he miskey the date of the tour to Grand Antelope, it was supposed to be tha day after exact day!

* know what I feel like that very moment if you ever fall into the never ending pitfall*Oh man......!!! We had came all the way up here! We cannot go back just like that!

Worst come to worst, we dod crazy stuffs!!! as alwaysssss

" I think we have to drive....." Cindy said that over and over again

"U sure, your parents allowed you to do so?"

" Nope, I will convince them again later...."

"Hmm.....ok, let's do it"

So, that is our final conclusion 

Hehe, then we had our first Mandarin meal in Mandarin Garden! * had been craving for that* Though we planned to go for buffet. Little did we know that most of the buffet set session here ended at 2p.m. Still, we managed to order Chao Zhou fried Rice and Lo Mee.... it were such a big portion that we decided to carry away but seriously, damn nice!* I feel like I am back home again by eating Chinese food!*

The reataurant owner told us that there was a car rental shop nearby and we were soooo excited. So, we decided to get a car there and drove to downtown...I love this place so much..... it gave me a sense of feeling that I am a cowgirl...

That feeling didn't last longggg...

We went back to our hotel and called that number of car rental central line but we were informed that it was closed and they only sell car instead of renting!

* thunderstorm on my head*

Never give up spirit came in!

Never mind, Let's try the other company( though it could be quite far away!")

We tried to call hertz and we were so relieved whenvthey said thay have a car for us.

We took bus to the pick up point. It was about half an hour!

We tired to call again when we were there....

" What? you don't have nay more car available?I though u said you have it?"

Cindy was quite disappointed but what to do....

We were so helpless and we kept trying other company. Finally, we were told that National Alamo have more car for reservation but it was much more expensive.....

Then, we tried to do calculation and finally we realised the total expenses was just as in you booked a tour!

So, we decided to go back......

Cindy was so sick that time and she felt cold, I was so worried if she got fever, and I feel so sorry that I can't help much.

On the way, we did some reflection and heart to heart talk ( I guess that is what we always do xDxD) just to know well what each of us have in mind so that we don't hold grudge on each other? haha, of course we don't.

She is such a strong lady from apperance? haha, but deep inside she has strong need of protection. And definitely I am not the one who supposed to do that, there are someone else far away....lalalaa( She is going to eat me if she saw this!LOLOLO)

And for me, lazy people I guess, I simply just feel like I want to enjoy all those small little details of travelling , maybe it is all about who you are with and not about the destination and how much you see.....

So, we went to to hotel and sadly, no tour is available from Flagstaff anymore so we just had to stick to our original plan to pick up the car but not now..... we need REST so much.... maybe tomorrow morning. So, I called again and book a tour over there instead of from Flagstaff. 

Well, basically, we were running here and there for the whole day, but yeah, who knows all those little details are going to be the most precious memory in the future? As what Cindy said" I guess my grandchild are going to say this, WOW! My grandma is soooo crazy...." Yeah...perhaps

Back in hotel, we sat on the carpet after long whole day, looking at each other, we burst into laughter, so much obstacles for a day but yet we enjoyed it.... Know how we eat our dinner later without any spoons or forks? I guess you know......

14~5~19

Yeah!Second day of our trip! anticipating as usual....Ohhh...too bad have to wake up early in the morning at 4. 30a.m. as we followed tour to Grand Canyon....and Hoover Dam.

We had our hearty breakfast in Denny's cafe,omelette with cheese....as breakfast! My favourite=P !!! heard so US famous for their sausage! I did try some frm Cindy's dish!But it seemed normal kut.....

Waiting for the bus to pick us up in Hampston Inn, wow....we saw limo passes by....then a van arrived instead of a bus...thought so this was the one,so cozy and spaceful, then, at one point, it stopped and the driver asked us to enter the other bus( fine, haha, no luck to enjoy the van trip....)

One hour journey to the Hoover Dam, the origin of Las Vegas! No dam no LA,that is what people said because it supply the main water source.

We crossed the Hoover Bridge built by Mike....it took about 10years to do so.One worker died during the construction. Wow, can't believe we were actually here, standing on the bridge and looked down from above, it was just breathtaking and unbelievable awesome! Wait a minute...is a LEGEND!

Then, we went back to our bus and another 2hours journey to the Grand Canyon. Cannot tell how much I actually love it! I do love desert( Maybe you might think I am insane! How is it possible for people to love dessert? It was just too hot and you are in the middle of  NOWHRE) However, I always dream of me myself staying here with my loved one for about maybe a year or so. just to experience different kind of life. I read a novel written by San Mao before, she is my idol, she is so adventurous, resourceful and daring! She knows what is the best thing to do in emergency. I always hope that I can be just like her.

Well, out of topic!Back to Grand Canyon, it consists of 3main point, which are Hualapai, Eagle and Guana point. We went to Eagle point first because we bought the ticket to enjoy the skywalk( You will know how is it like if you ever been to Penang Hill before!) 

Cindy and I took turn to take a walk and the other captured photos from the other side of the bridge as we were not allowed to bring along our camera and the photos taken by the photographer over there cost 35USD per photo! A BIG NONO!

I was under the scorning sun! for almost half an hour, luckily it was not burning hot and kind of windy as well, and the sand was blown everywhere, just like hurricane....

We tried a little bit of crazy posture to take the best shoot such as lying by the edge of the hill, dangling our leg by the edge, acting like we are going to fall down ( not imitation! seriously, haha, safety come first!)

We rushed to the next Guana point, wow, there are 2 big hills made of pieces of rocks for us to climb up....

Lunch time! Buffet!Yea! The best thing in life is having big meal when you feel like a hungry ghost!

Quite sad that we had to skip the last point which is the Hualapai Point( smething like cowboy town), is 3.30p.m. and the everyone is waiting for us actually! Hehe....nvm, still satisfied!

Both of us slept like pigs in the bus! 

After 2 and a half hour, we woke up and what happened after that was not nice to talk to. As we were not so sure about the location of our next destination,we mentioned the previous one but soon we realized the other stop which is the circus is much more earlier, so we asked for change in direction but the driver wasn't so friendly and seemed to be a bit annoyed, The passengers in the front roll even mentioned "If they are not going down in the circus stop, I am going to throw them out!" 

I was like" Whatever, I just want to get to my destination."Sometimes, we have to suppress the bad feeling within us although we feel so hurt but never let people who aren't so good to affect you. Still believing good people are everywhere as long as this is the way you treat people. 

To be random, throughout the trip, I learnt sth,

Everyone want to be someone special, prominent, look high by others, capable, strong. For me, nothing seemed to be important, as long as you are happy and it spreads to those around you. Treat people whole-heartedly, people do the same to you. Everyone make mistake.....and you don't need recognition from others to find your role in the universe, you don't have to proof but you need to have faith in yourself....Only people who know you appreciate you =)

Well, we took another an hour to find our hotel, and haha, the funny thing is that all these while, it was just in front of us, Palace Station, just that we never believe that our hotel was the grand one and we kept walking here there.

The next things we did right after we reached was to start booking Antelope Canyon trip ticket for next day...the wifi was so weak that I ended up going to the lobby and started booking till midnight. ( Oh man.....We skipped our dinner....sad.....)

Another trick here! Cindy accidentally open one of the movie and was being charged for 10USD....! Still, nvm......problem that can be solved by money is never a PROB!

After 1am, I went back and Cindy slept soundly there, hehe, so sorry for her. She must be very worried that I came back so late and I know she was a bit sick also. Actually, I am really sorry that I didn't really able to help her much in lot of things....

14/5/18- First Night in Las Vegas

I woke up at 4 a.m., I gave my beloved housemates bear hugs one by one before I left.

I am so touched that they woke up so early in the morning just to send me off!

We took aircoach to the airport, about an hour journey

Then, we waited at the London airport for 3 hours.* starving* 

Too bad we didn't prepare enough food and we have no pound to spend!

Then, we had our flight transit to Las Vegas by Virgin Atlantic.

It was a long journey, for about 10 hours. But trust me, you will like the air-stewaress's uniform.
So far, it is the most trendy one I have seen.

Somehow, I had the wrong feeling that I am going back home, watching series of movies..... enjoying chicken with mashed potato, salad with spagetti, bread crumble and apple juice.

I LOVE food in plane! At the same time, enjoying nice movie such as Catching Fire, Lego, Wild wolf street and etc.....

 10 hours later! We were finally in Las Vegas! Unbelievable! 

But the first thing that entered my mind when we came out of the plane was not excitement anymore! Instead, I feel like vomiting! So suffering! All the mixture of bad feeling came into my mind instead!" why am I not at home? "I was super duplet triplet homesick at this very moment! 

Luckily, I still have Cindy beside me....Then, Cindy facetimed Gaby and Shin since they kept mentioned how much they missed us in FB! hehe, my dear housemates ever! 

We always complained how much we missed home! But after spending 9 months together! Seriously, we are going to miss each other so so much! including Ben who left us much more earlier to Czech as well!

* sound so sweet* LOLOL

I feel like I can vomit in the airplane though if I don't hold myself.

Such a long queue to check our passport! 

Wow, the guard was so so friendly. 

He even know where is Malaysia!

But I am so sorry that I have no mood to have "a nice chat" with him. I am just too sick!

After that, I feel like I wanted to stay in toilet for the rest of my life

* The magic of toilet, I don't feel like vomiting staying inside...

Y? I have no idea.

We took long time to find our hotel

( Actually is a hostel but they don't have dorm, so instead they call it hotel, hehe, just to emphasis we are too poor to  stay in hotel!) 

Back to the reason we took long time to reached hotel, we hardly find way for pedestrian to walk, so we ended up in the middle of highway and kept turning back to the same point!

Well, another special thing was its traffic light. There are no red, orange ,green light, but there are ready, steady and stop sign.

The first thing I did when I reached hotel named the Wild wild west! ( sound weird )was sleeping for an hour! * Syokkkkk*

 I have no idea how tiring I was actually....But super satisfied after the long rest. 

Took a bath and we went to burger king to have our lunch....I have s feeling, we have more fastfood to go for throughout the rest of the trip.....! Becuase US is country for fast food!

Then, we went to Las Vegas Sign in Boulevard by feet, it was about 6.30pm when we started walking, I think we wlpalked about an hour to reach there, but nice though. The wind blowing SO GENTLY at first( mean not after that) and we took photos all the way.

Las Vegas is the mixture of every landmark all over Europe I think. The luxor( famous for anatomy, haha, we skipped that,as medicine students, we have lot more chance to see that in dissection room) , the New York New York hotel( well known for its roller coaster), the Paris Hotel (with DeLouvre,sth like pyramid, De Mars),  Venetian Hotel( imitate building in Venice,Italy, it is famous for its magic show though, David Copperfield used to have his performance there as well! Thw world most popular magician! Oh man, how much I hope one day I will be watching his show!

We were right in front of the Las Vegas sign! Hmmm...but not as what I expected, the word of Las Vegas is not shining in yellow in colour! Instead, it is just words printed in Red! Not as what I saw from online though.... Well, we thought we met someone good enough just liek the bus driver eho picked us free from airport to street near our hotel( forget to mention this good guy in early part, he is so nice and so pround of his brother that he kept showing us his brother's family photos back in Japan, he must live his bro that much!)ooo...back to this bad guy who tried to get tax from us after taking NO good photos.....the sign was too bright actually....

We spent lot of time trying bot to make ourselves look too dark and to see the Las vegas word clearly...but failed so....is just too hard.....Cindy was disappointed as she always have high command on the photos taken but so sorry that I can't help.....

Instead of taking bus back, we walked for another 30 minutes back hotel I think...lying on the bed, I don't feel like moving anymor*slept*

14〜5〜19（first day in Las Vegas)

I woke up at 4, hugging my beloved housemates.* so touching *They woke up so early in the morning just to send me off!

We took aircoach to the airport(an hour). We took Air Lingus to the London airport at 7.10am.It took about half an hour.

Then, we waited in the London airport for 3hours.* starving* Too bad we didn't prepare enough food and we have no Pound! 

Then, we have our flight connection to Las Vegas by Virgin Atlantic.

Loooooong journey,for about 10hours. 14/5/17-The day before departure- Discover America Trip

Oh My Gosh! I couldn't describe my excitement at the moment! Finally, I get to go to U.S.

Brief about U.S.

-the country made of 50 states and 1 Federal District

-with population of 318.9 millions (15 times of that of Malaysian) 

-flight from East-New York to West-Los Angeles takes 6 1/2 hour 

-the second countries with the most advance technology after Japan

-U.S. Flag

-with 50 stars that represents 50 states and 13 strips that represents firse 13 districts that gain freedom from the Britain Colonies and form U.S.
Culture- American are direct people. Time is money. Don't try to beat around the bush.

After spending so much time to apply for my VISA, get the certificate of attendance and going through all the interview. I got this opportunity. The best of all, I am not just going to work, I am going to travel in U.S. itself for 3 whole weeks! We are going to conquer 1/5 of U.S.!
