sem 2 break =) (ipoh, penang, sarawak)

2012~5~12 to 2012~5~15(Ipoh)
2012~5~15 to 2012~5~17(Penang)
2012~5~18 to 2012~5~23(Sarawak)
Another long break after we finished our sem 2=)
It was a long wait and yeah another hectic sem comes to end in the end
A lot of things happened of course
but none of it will be shared here as this a a blog only for hols!
Yeah, hols for sem 2 last for 2 months
And i planned to use the first 2 weeks to relax and rewind my mind
Cant bear to go on with my sem 3 without a proper trip as
i am born to tour around and paint the town red!haha
So, basically the first week i stay in West Malaysia
3 days in Ipoh, perak
Another 3 days in Penang
The other whole week i stayed in Kuching, Sarawak.
Hehe, i can say this is the benefit of having friends from different state as
you can save the cost for accomodation and transport.=)

I took the bus from home to Shah Alam bus station and met my friends
so that we can take the same bus and have each other for accompany during the 4 hours trip
We took our time to chat and read storybook in the bus
When we reached the destination, my friend already waited there, it was about 4 something ,so we put our luggage in the car boot and went to her house
Yong Xuan, family is very friendly and haha, she is rich of course, 5 cars in a row and 2 bangalow combined!
So after we unpacked our luggage, her mum cooked a table of delicious meal
crabs, chicken,, fish
all the finger licking food
we are just like the hungry ghost that were just release, can't stop eating
Basically, we spent our first day in Yong Xuan's house as it was quite late when we reached there
The second morning, we woke up quite early and went to ipoh street to have our breakfast
a cup of white coffee and mee,
hehe, not bad, hearty meal=)

Then, we had a long walk along the ipoh street and yeah, took a lot of photos
then we went to adeline ville and also herbal shop up the hill

the scenery is nice and it is an excellent spot for holidays
Guess what?haha, maybe we took too much photos
the restaurant owner was asking whether we came from photography club or what?
Then, we went to Kellie's Castle
it is situated near Batu Gajah, which took 20 minutes drive from Ipoh
The unfinished unruined mansion was built by a Scottish planter namedWilliam Kellie Smith
According to the note written there, it was previously built for his wife named Agnes which is also a Sottish and also a home for his son
After Smith got his fortune, he married Agnes and wth bless, they got a daughter named Hallen.
However, Smith wanted a son to inherited all his heritage and both of them desperated wanted a son
After some times, Agnes conceived and gave birth to Athony
So, Smith was so happy that he built a mansion for his wife nd his son
As stated earlier, Smith wanted a son so badly so one of the labourer asked Smith to pray to Hindu God. Thus, Smith had fascination towards Hindu Goddess so much and thus, he built a Hindu temple next to the castle,
Since he had fond on Goddess so much, he even built his own statue next to her
Thus now you can see a white man on the roof of the temple
The construction failure was due to the Spanish flu that occured all of a sudden nd killed 70 of the Smith workers and Smith lost large amount of his fortune due to this
Thus, The construction halted

haha
the third day, we went to Gua Tempurung
It was indeed a unique spot in Ipoh
There are 4 package for the trekking and we chose the second package because the third and fourth one will make us get wet
haha,we didnt bring extra clothes
stretching over 1.9km
According to the tour guide, gua tempurung was previously the shelter for the prehistoric communist
Gua Tempurung is a cave in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia. It is popular among spelunkers, or caving enthusiasts. More than 3 km long, it is one of the longest caves in Peninsula Malaysia. I hope to come here again and that time i will definitely go for package 4.
