- Ravana (bad person) kidnapping Shita (Rama's  wife) while the Jaayu on left tried to help her

- local legend of the Rara Jonggrang

- the story of Durga in the north of Shiva temple
- Bandung killed Rara's dad, King Boko and ruled his kingsom. He forced Rara to married her but Rara refused. So, she gave him an impossible mission whereby he need to buld Sewu means thousands temples in one night. He asked for supernatural's help but Rara asked the women to set on the fire so that the supernatural thought that it is morning and need to go back. Bandung was frustrated by the tricks and he asked cursed her to the stone and thus she became the last unfinished temple known as Durga
