Mulu Pinnacles Hike 18/8/2018

We took early flight to Mulu ( have to transit in Miri) because there is no direct flight.
Uncle Robert picked us up in the airport and it was real small, basically the size of a box.
We arrived in D cave hostel and changed to short pants for Deer cave adventure. The main highlight was the bat exodus at 530 to 6pm. We had a really nice walk on the way and get there on time.
We shared our expectation for the trip. Julia was afraid that it might be too challenging as she read lot of comments online that mentioned pinnacles hike could be real tough if you are not well prepared. On the other hand, I am so not prepared and didn't even read anything about kinabalu hike.
The next morning we went for a walk in the tree top in national park and bought our grocery before We departed to the Racer cave. It was one of the very first cave adventure and it is intermediate level. I have to admit that I am really bad in descending with the rope. We get to see some snakes in the cave.
The third day was the 3hours boat trip to the basecamp and we will start our pinnacle hike the next day.
We took 2hrs to get into camp5 after 9km walk and went to the river for a swim.
We were brief through on what to expect fr the hike and get ready for next morning .
It is challenging in a way that we need to ascend for either 90 or 60degree uphill most of the time.
It is divided into 3 parts- 60 min for the first part, 30min for the second which make it to the halfway and another hour before we reach the ladders, total 17 ladders all together which is the 4th part and took bout 45mins.
Proud to say we made it to the top in 3hours and back down to camp site in 3 and 1/2hours.

Hurayyyy!!!
